Please read below for complete instructions on how to make advance Annual Meeting registrations online, by fax, or by mail.

You may register online from now until Monday, 28 January 2008

1. How to Register for the FAST Third Annual Conference
Register via the Internet: Use the form on this page.
Register by mail or fax: Download a PDF of the registration form, complete, and mail or fax back. Our mailing address is FAST, PO Box 284, Cape Elizabeth, ME 04107-0284

2. Group Rates
Special group rates have been established for the FAST Third Annual Conference. There is a $50/person discount for groups of three or more. The fee is $250/person for accompanying family members.

Q.When is the Advance Registration Deadline?
A. Saturday, 5 January 2008.

Q.Do I need a visa to travel to the USA?
A. US visa rules and regulations differ by country. Detailed information about visas, application fees, wait times, documentation, etc. can be found on this US Department of State website.  
 

Q.How to I request a Letter of Invitation?
A. Some people need letters in order to get university funding or to request travel support from third parties.  Some members need letters in order to apply for a visa to travel to the USA. Click here for the link to a  form for requesting a letter.

Q.Will name badges be mailed out before the meeting?
A.No, badges can be picked up at our meeting registration desk, located on the ground level of Northeastern University's Egan Center (across from the Ruggles MBTA Subway Station).

Q.Who do I contact if I have questions about my registration?
A.Call our Conference Coordinator at (207) 799-3098 between the hours of 9:00AM and 5:00PM EST.

Q.How do I check on my membership status?
A. Call the Membership Office at (207) 799-3098.

Q.What is the cancellation policy?
A.Those who cancel their conference registration on or before January 5 will be eligible for a full refund. Those who cancel on or before January 21 will be eligible for a refund minus a US$75 processing fee. No refunds will be made for cancellations received after this date.

Q.How do I cancel my registration?
A.Click here to send your cancellation via e-mail or fax your cancellation to (815) 846-1756. Cancellations may also be mailed to FAST Annual Meeting, PO Box 284, Cape Elizabeth, ME 04107-0284.

Q.What if I have special needs?
A.If you have a special need due to a disability, please indicate so when prompted on your registration form. We'll contact you prior to the Annual Meeting to make arrangements, if necessary.

REGISTRATION OPTIONS:

Regular Registration - Unlimited access to all FAST Conference activities (including tours, the banquet, 3 other meals and coffee breaks)

  • Professional rate: $425
  • Reduced rate: $325
  • Student rate: $250
  • One-day rate: $150
  • Banquet only: $60 / $50 (students or multiple tickets)

Member Discount:  A fifty dollar ($50)discount is available to FAST members and employees of institutional members.  When three or more people register together, they also can request a $50 discount.  These two discounts can not be combined.

Professional rate:  This rate is for "professionals" - people who work for the government, institutions of higher education, corporations, foundations, etc.  Individuals from low- and middle-income countries who work for local entities that pay local (not international) wages are eligible for the reduced rate. 

Reduced rate:  Teachers, postdocs and journalists are required to indicate their institution's name on the registration form. People with emeritus status must indicate their birth year/retirement year.  People from low- and middle-income countries who work for entities that pay local (not international) wages must list their employer. 

Student rate:  Students are required to indicate their institution's name on the registration form.

Spouse/family rate:  If you are accompanied by a family member, he/she can participate in the programs and attend the meals and tours for a reduced fee of $250. If there is demand, we may add a program for children.

Advance Registration Deadline:  The deadline for advance registrations is January 5.

Included/Not included:  Your registration includes the costs for several meals, coffee breaks, tours and other activities. Some tours may require an entry fee to the museum or facility.

Hotel:  Your registration fee does NOT include the cost of accommodations.  You must make your own hotel reservations.  FAST will be recommending hotels later this year. 

Free Registrations:  Because we give so many opportunities for people to speak or present at the conference, we do not offer complimentary registrations to speakers. All participants are expected to register for the conference.

All registration cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to the Fulbright Academy. Please note that the hotels will have their own cancellation policy for your accommodations - contact your hotel for information.
