2008 Abstracts

Exhibits & Abstracts

This page gives you the link to submit an abstract for exhibition / poster presentation during our Singapore Conference.  Submissions are due as soon as possible.

Abstracts will be reviewed on fortnightly (every two weeks) until the program is full; therefore, early submittal may increase your chance of acceptance.

Posters / Exhibits accepted to date:
  • An Urban Community Information System;  John Schweitzer and Shobha Ramanand, Michigan State University. John was a 1983 Fulbright grantee to Singapore.
  • Krafthaus Kuming-The First Energy Producing Skyscraper;  Thomas Kraubitz, German Fulbright grantee at Harvard University's Graduate School of Design.

Abstracts can be 350-700 words long - we suggest that you write the Abstract in a separate document and then cut and paste it into the submission form.  If your abstract is accepted, you will be asked to resubmit it using a standard format for publication and dissemination at the conference.

To submit an abstract,  please click here and open the submittal form.

Submitting Abstracts

Abstracts:  We are accepting abstracts from individuals who would like to participate in the 2008 Conference in Singapore.  Please recall that “science” includes social science and related disciplines, such as political science, psychology, public administration, business management, law etc.

The theme of the conference is "Futuropolis 2058: Creating Sustainable Urban Environments Through Innovation".  Posters will be grouped into five areas.

  1. City Management & long-term city planning
  2. Engineering & construction
  3. Alternative energy
  4. Futuristic living spaces
  5. Social networking & cities

The poster session will be similar to sessions held at scientific conferences. Detailed guidelines will be available to those whose abstracts are accepted.

Note:  FAST does not provide free or reduced-rate registrations to poster presenters, beyond any discounts already available (see registration page for details on discounts).
