The Women in Science Affinity Group has met several times in the Boston area. Members of this Affinity Group are drawn from all disciplines and all sectors, and they are united by the challenges faced by women in science and technology fields. This group was formed in Boston in 2008 because of a semi-annual Women in Science Luncheon program hosted by Boston's Museum of Science. Sharing of Personal and Professional Experiences - The Museum of Science Luncheons are held twice a year, and the two-hour program includes a distinguished woman scientist as the speaker - such as the President of MIT or the Head of Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution - with an audience of 120-140 women of all ages. The Fulbright Academy has been hosting a table of 8-10 Fulbrighters who work in academia, government and the private sector. The guests at our table are young current grantees to established professionals.
